WHITEWATER RAFTING
ENJOY TWO DAYS OF UPPER CACHE CREEK RAFTING

“Get ready for the no-fuss, all-fun raft trip time of your life. You’re in for a night under the stars and two days of laugh-til-you-drop, adrenaline-pumping action in one of the most spectacular volcanic canyons California has to offer” – San Francisco Chronicle

Your two day trip is a whitewater run through the wild country where Tule elk roam the volcanic canyon and Bald eagles soar. Gourmet campfire cuisine is served in a setting overlooking the river.

After orientation, you are off for a fun-filled two days of adventure. You will notice various birds of prey and a host of wildlife. Black bear, wild boar, deer and turtles that make their home in and around the river banks.

The majestic canyon walls towering above you are actually million-year-old tilted seabeds carved by molten lava from the Mt. Konocti eruption during prehistoric times. Venture through rapids such as Widow Maker, Mario Andretti, The Infamous Mother, and many other thrilling rapids.

ALL MEALS

DINNER: You have a choice of mesquite grilled NY steak, humanely raised chicken breast, or a garden burger, with a giant one-pound Idaho baked potato, sweet corn, and pasta salad all served under the stars.

LUNCHES: A riverside picnic: Turkey or ham, jack and cheddar cheese, fresh sourdough bread and chips.

BREAKFAST: Our breakfast is a masterpiece with fresh ranch scrambled eggs, country potatoes, flour tortillas and salsa. Also, granola, fresh strawberries, cantaloupe, watermelon, apples, rolls, and pastries with juice, coffee, hot cocoa, tea, apple cider, and milk.

Do you have vegetarian options for meals? Yes! For our vegetarian guests, we provide the option of having a garden burger for dinner along with a one pound baked potato and corn on the cob. For lunch, we provide a jack or cheddar cheese sandwich, and a bag of chips. Plus, we have breakfast items that are vegetarian-friendly. You are always welcome to bring snacks and supplemental food as well. To all our vegetarian guests – we will feed you well!

OVERNIGHT CAMPING

Dinner is a first-class feast served in a tiki-torch setting. Canyon evenings at our riverside camp are enchanting and starlit with nothing but the whisper of water to lull you to sleep right after our famous disco dance party on the river which ends at 10:30 p.m.

After dinner Saturday night, we have our famous Blacklight Disco Dance Party this side of Rumsey, CA! Make sure to pack your best neon clothing!

You awaken on the second day to crisp morning air, and a scrumptious hot breakfast. You then embark on the river around 9 a.m. to begin your new day of whitewater excitement. Lunch will be a riverside picnic.

NIGHTLY MEETINGS

We began this Meeting on the River 37 years ago and every year since we’ve been helping new folks to learn to have fun in sobriety. Individuals come from all over Northern California (though mostly Sonoma County) and these are joined by a busload of folks from Southern California who make the trip each year.

BLACK LIGHT DANCE PARTY

After dinner on Saturday night at the campsite, the Whitewater Adventures crew throws a black light dance party under the stars! A large dance floor and stage by the river serves as the backdrop and popular top 40s tunes fill the air as our rafters get down and dance the night away – until 10:30 p.m., at which point it’s lights out. Make sure to pack your best neon clothing!
